Newsletter v2.1

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

An update to the Newsletter plugin has just been released. This update is mainly a bug-fix with an upgrade to Swift Mailer v3.3.1 which has some excellent new error-reporting features for when your running your Swift Tests. Swift Tests have also been adjusted for easier configuration within WordPress. Download your update on the My Paid Plugins page. More updates to follow soon!

EDIT: Updated to 2.0.9 for Sendmail bug fix!

EDIT: Updated to 2.1 - Fixed some deprecated functions and added support for “To Name” and “From Name” in the Newsletter Options.

Newsletter 2.0.75 Available

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

I’ve done some updating and fixes for the Newsletter 2.x Branch. Owners are welcome to update to v2.0.75 which is now available in the My Paid Plugins page. After updating, please check the Newsletter Options page as you will likely need to run an upgrade script and save the new options.

I’ve changed the template to allow for multiple templates, unfortunately any previous newsletters will need to be resaved to set there template correctly - I’ll fix this in the next release next week - I’m out of town all weekend or it would be ready sooner.

Newsletter 2.0 RC1 coming this week!

Monday, June 11th, 2007

I’m putting together the final updates to release the Newsletter Plugin 2.0 Release Candidate 1 to be released either tonight or tomorrow night. Includes major bug fixes and a couple new features such as the ability to use multiple templates. Just a heads up to keep your eyes open in the next day or two for the anticipated release. Thanks!

[UPDATE] A family emergency has put me behind schedule yet again, so although I’m not quite up to the point I was hoping for, I’m going to release what I’ve done so far and get the rest out next week for the final release. Thanks for your patience all!

Well, I’ve finally got Newsletter 2.0 working across the board - I’m doing some final testing and then I have to write the upgrade scripts for all of you upgraders. I’m hesitant to make any more promises I may not be able to keep, but it really does look like it might finally be beta ready by tonight!

Update: I’m about an hour left from having it ready to upload, but unfortunately it’ll have to wait until tomorrow night. See you then!

Newsletter Plugin - Minor Update

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

I’ve done a quick update to the Newsletter plugin to fix some compatibility issues with WordPress 2.1 - The rich editor has changed, and I’ve only got it working with the main content area of the newsletter creation page, the sidebar and meta boxes are plain text for now. This means formatting in the sidebar and meta will be raw html, so I recommend creating them in the content area and flipping to the HTML view and doing some copy-pasting. The upcoming new release will hopefully have these issues fixed up, but at least it’s workable for now.

As always, support is available in the Support Forums.

The update to v.1.66 is available in your My Paid Plugins area using the link in the top right box. (You will need to be logged in to access this of course)
